Seems my message was OT for activemq. The baseline is: If I give the 
activemq broker 1GB memory, it actually can store 250.000 2-kB messages 
without a consumer connected. With less memory or 500.000 messages the 
infamous InvalidRecordLocationException occurs and the messages(=in my 
case, the money) are lost.
Before I dive into the code pile of activemq, I dare to ask here, what 
might be the generic fault situation, that leads to the above exception?
